As a cyclist, I’m always looking for something to attach my bicycle to. Obviously I’m not the only one. This lamp post guards three bicycles, safely locked to it. While they’re safe from thieves, they’re still vulnerable to gusts of wind pushing them over. Meanwhile the lamp post stands proud and strong. “We all need something to cling to, ” says the hair piece. “Ah, but even then…”, sighs the bicycle.

By December, the winter was entrenched and the city was covered almost every day by a steely grey sky, confused gusts of wind, low temperatures, days of continuous snow, fog… though there were still occasional moments of reprieve, the sky was cloudless and bright, but they were just the false signs…
